Entourage Final Season Gets Start Date

With the announcement of a start date the end begins for the show I derived the most fun from during my adolescent and young adulthood. Starting Sunday, July 24, Entourage will embark on its eighth and final season. Season eight, which plays out over eight episodes, brings to an end each of the character's stories despite talk of a potential feature film.

As a young man taking the show in I developed expectations of myself and my friends. Although the details of the show tend to be unrealistic, the bits about the friendships between men transcending obstacles like time and space were the most profound. Looking back on the two best friendships I've had over the course of my life that came closest to the Entourage type, assessing where these friendships lie in relation to my expectations of where they would, it seems that this aspect may have been the most unrealistic aspect of the show. Perhaps in the back of every young man's mind watching the show they recognize that this theme is fictional at best. The show is escapism in that regard and that escape will be missed by many, or at least me. Entourage will air Sunday's at 10:30 PM.

That said, among many die hard fans the shows best days are behind it. How do you feel about Entourage taking its final bow from television? Is the Sex and the City route a viable option for the show? Leave a comment and let us know.

  1. Don't Ever Compare Entourage to Sex in the City, Ever!

  2. He's not comparing the two you fucken tool!
He means "will they ever make an Entourage movie?
Just like parts one and two of Sex and The City.

  3. I would love to see Entourage take the movie route. Hate to see it end :-(
